As was communicated previously on December 28, 2022, an excessive noise event may rarely occur as the result of an automatic function of a relief valve opening and releasing steam. The unintended and unplanned relief valve opening is required to protect the equipment and the last such excessive noise event occurred on January 28, 2023.
Neighbors in our community may have heard an excessive noise event today at 2:15pm which lasted approximately 10 minutes. The effected equipment returned to normal operation at 2:25pm at which time the excessive noise event ended.
